QUESTION POSED ON: 03 September 2008
I have recently begun using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). When I went into Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) and tried to create a new project, I received this error message:

"Could not load or assembly 'Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Wizards' or one of its dependencies. The system could not find the file specified."

I searched on my computer for the necessary .dll file, and it was there. How can I fix this problem?

EXPERT RESPONSE
I have seen this problem a few times with the installation of SQL Server 2005 on a local machine. You have not specified which version of SQL Server you are running and I cannot attribute this solution to SQL 2000 or 2008. However, with SQL Server 2005, the most common fix for this is to reinstall SQL Server 2005 client tools. Usually what you have to do is go into the advanced set-up options to uninstall and then reinstall the client tools.
