Lawrence Oliva, senior consultant and program manager, CH2M HILL
Lawrence Oliva is a senior consultant and program manager with CH2M HILL, a global engineering and program management company. Based in the Washington D.C., area, he currently leads mid- to large-size IT programs for federal government and commercial clients that have unique technical challenges that require risk management, earned value analysis, cost/schedule forensics, biometric security, and "Green IT" implementation experience.
During the past 25 years Lawrence has led major software development and IT technology development programs as a senior manager for Dell Computer, Sun Microsystems, and Computer Sciences Corp. Lawrence has applied formal methodologies to projects, including the PMI Book of Knowledge (PMBoK), Total Quality Management (TQM), Capability Maturity Model (CMM), and Six Sigma.
Lawrence is PMP certified, has taught project management classes for several universities, and has been an invited speaker at several PMI Chapter meetings across the U.S. during the past 10 years. Lawrence is also an associate editor and peer reviewer for the International Journal of Information Technology Project Management (IJITPM). |
