OWASP

Word of the Day

DEFINITION -

The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is an organization that provides unbiased and practical, cost-effective information about computer and Internet applications. The intent is to assist individuals, businesses and agencies in finding and using trustworthy software.

OWASP is a not-for-profit organization and is not affiliated with any enterprise or consortium. Therefore, all facilities and documents provided or produced by the OWASP are free from commercial influences. However, OWASP does support the informed use of commercial security technology and has become known as a forum in which information technology professionals can network and build expertise.
