Building Internet of Things applications with DeviceHive

The lack of replicable development tools for building applications for machine-to-machine communication has been a problem for developers, one that the DeviceHive M2M communication framework promises to solve.

In this video, Artyom Astafurov, co-founder of the DeviceHive open source development project, describes how the framework can help developers create tablet, smartphone and other Internet of Things applications. On September 18, 2013, the DeviceHive Project launched the DeviceHive Java server release.

A .NET version has been available since late 2012. Written in Java EE 7 with the reference implementation GlassFish 4, the new release adds RESTful and WebSockets application programming interfaces, as well as modules for mapping Javascript Object Notation, or JSON, to Java objects to DeviceHive.
